Organising tools, brushes, spades, keys and other small items isn't always easy. Tools get mixed up, brushes get put back in the wrong place and there's always one screwdriver that hasn't been seen for years.
Storing Board from Elfa is the perfect way to take control of your tool storage. This epoxy-coated steel pegboard mounts between two Hang Standards or directly to the wall with Storing Board Wall Mounts. There are over 30 accessories available, ranging from wrench holders and screwdriver racks to metal hanging hooks and storage boxes.
Just like the rest of the Elfa storage system, all accessories can be adjusted, repositioned or removed at any time. And with all of your garage or workshop essentials easily accessible, you won't have to go rummaging through drawers to find that screwdriver.
Storage Track
When it comes to storing brooms, mops. shovels and rakes, things don't have to be difficult. Elfa's Storage Track is a space-efficient, completely customisable utility track with a wide range of tools, racks and add-ons available. Mount Storage Track between two Hang Standards in your garage shelving, or attach it directly to the wall.
Add accessories to Storage Track as and when you need them. If your garage storage needs change seasonally or over the years, simply remove hooks or racks that no longer serve you and replace them with ones that do. It's easy to reuse or repurpose Elfa accessories in other areas of the house such as the laundry or linen cupboard.
Need to store brooms and mops? Use Storage Track Tool Holders. Hoses or extension cords? Storage Track Round Cord Hook is up to the job. Ladders and bikes? How to Install Elfa
The first step to installing Elfa garage shelving is finding out how much space is really available. Measure the width, depth and height of your walls, remembering to account for skirting boards, cornices, door frames and power points.
Many Elfa components, such as Top Tracks, Hang Standards, Wire Shelves and Storage Tracks can be trimmed to size. If your garage measurements aren't a perfect fit for standard W: 45, W: 60 or W: 90 sections, Elfa will still work perfectly.

Available in four lengths to suit garage setups of all shapes and sizes. A few quick screw holes allow the whole system to hang freely. Use Elfa Masonry Screws & Plugs for brick, concrete and timber walls, and Elfa Drywall Anchors for gyprock or stud walls.
When installed on brick or concrete walls, an Elfa Top Track can support up to 600kg of weight (200kg per section). If installing on stud walls, position the Top Track so that you hit at least two studs.

Hang Standards
Hang Standards come in four heights and each can support up to 90kg of evenly distributed weight. Space your Hang Standards apart to create W: 45, W: 60 or W: 90 sections. Each Hang Standard slides onto your Top Track, with 1-4 optional screw holes for added stability and security.

Wall Bands
Elfa Wall Bands screw directly to the wall or door without the need for a Top Track. Wall Bands must be installed perfectly straight, otherwise shelves, drawers and racks won't fit correctly. We recommend using a Top Track and Hang Standards for complex or heavy-duty garage shelving systems, but Wall Bands work well for basic shelving setups.
If you are installing a Wall Band on an internal door, ensure you choose appropriate screws from your local hardware store.
For systems installed with Wall Bands, Elfa does not provide a weight rating.

Elfa offers several options for heavy-duty garage shelving, depending on your storage requirements and available space. Wire Shelves, Shelf Baskets, Click In Melamine Shelves and Click In Work Benches are all rated up to 40kg of weight when installed in W: 45 or W: 60 sections. They are available in a range of depths and widths, and all use Elfa's Click In Shelf Brackets in your chosen depth (D: 30, D: 40 and D: 50).
Click In Work Bench is made from hard-wearing metal that's resistant to scratches and light damage. At 50cm deep, it makes a fantastic gardening bench or work station.
When it comes to storing small items like jars and bottles, Elfa Reversible Metal Shelf Trays are the perfect storage solution. Choose from 10cm or 25cm depths depending on your specific storage needs.
To install Elfa shelves, gently push each shelf onto the two brackets that will support it. Start with the front of the shelf, and then the back.

Elfa's Gliding Mesh Drawers are available in two widths, two depths and three heights to suit all types of garage storage applications. Organise brushes, tools, cleaning supplies or sports equipment with ease. Small items can be kept organised by adding Mesh Drawer Dividers.
Wondering how to install Elfa Gliding Mesh Drawers and Shoe Racks? There's a trick to it! Remove the U-shaped part of the drawer frame and install it onto the two Click In Shelf Brackets that will support the drawer. Firmly push the frame down, and then push towards the wall until the frame clicks into place on the brackets. The rest of the drawer frame then slides in.

Keeping tools of all shapes and sizes organised doesn't have to be hard. Small tools like screwdrivers, wrenches and spanners will fit well on Storing Board, whereas Storage Track is ideal for shovels, rakes, sports bats, hoses and cords.
Storing Board can be installed between two Hang Standards or directly to the wall with Storing Board Wall Mounts. To install, mount Storing Board Wall Mounts to the wall with appropriate hardware (if required). Then slot the top hooks into your Hang Standards or Wall Mounts and then gently push down until the lower hooks slide into the slots.
Storage Track comes with mounting brackets to install between two Hang Standards. Slide the top hooks into the Hang Standard slots, then straighten and slide down to secure. If mounting directly to the wall, use appropriate mounting hardware from Elfa or your local hardware store.

Maintaining organised drawers is easier than ever, with Mesh Drawer Dividers available for Elfa's Gliding Mesh Drawers. Wire and Mesh Utility Baskets can be used to create a wall-mounted or over-door storage rack.
Keeping ski equipment, long tools and hardware safely stored is hassle-free with Elfa Bracket Posts. Simply attach them to the top of your Click In Shelf Brackets and they'll keep these items from falling off the shelf. For space-efficient hanging storage, Shelf Hooks and Bracket Hooks simply click underneath Wire Shelves and on the side of Click In Shelf Brackets respectively.
Put the finishing touches on your new garage storage system with Elfa's Top Track, Hang Standard and Bracket covers. While completely optional, these Elfa accessories are the perfect way to keep your shelving looking sleek. Install these components once you're happy with the placement and positioning of the rest of your Elfa products.
Top Track Covers easily click into place to hide screw holes on your Top Track, whilst Hang Standard Covers can be trimmed to size to discreetly hide the slots in your Hang Standard. Bracket Covers come in Left, Right and Centre styles and slide over the exposed edge of your Click In Shelf Brackets.

Sustainability Matters
70% of Elfa's steel is recycled, and the forestry origin of timber products is always verified. All of Elfa's wood-based boards are Carb II and E1 compliant, and only low-VOC varnishes and powder coatings are used.
The Click In system's 2021 redesign reduced Elfa's carbon footprint by 12% on its most popular lines, without compromising on quality or load-bearing capacity. The 2023 range and packaging refresh has also reduced Elfa's total plastic use by 2%.
Cheap, poorly-made items have short lifespans and need to be replaced more often. Elfa's products are guaranteed to last for at least 10 years, meaning that fewer natural resources are consumed over the life of the products.
